I enjoy watercolor journaling and have filled many commercial watercolor journals. These journals either have the paper quality I want or the binding I like, but not both. So I started looking at how to make my own journals using the paper and binding of my choice. I read about making books and even purchased a book kit, but that didn’t turn out well. It wasn’t until I took a book making class at John C. Campbell Folk School that I really learned how to make books. I enjoyed the class so much that I have gone back to take many additional classes.
